Some Chapel Hill high school boys take to the trail-- and get some great fotos. Good energy from these kids-- and some beautiful previews of what is going to be several nights under the stars.
This couple made the best little movie I have seen to date of the John Muir Trail from Yosemite to Mt. Whitney. They did it in 17 days-- which seems reasonable to me.
But fun to watch, and not so self involved as some of the other youtube trip movies.
I like the music, though have no idea what the heck the band is singing.
Probably translates "Go back! Bears are eating everyone!"
I will be bringing walking sticks-- something I didn't have at Yosemite this year. Too many steep declines makes Tim's knees talk loudly.
Picked up a set of maps for the trail today from Metsker Maps
200 miles + in a couple weeks next September. Here are some links I found to start learning about the trail, weather, food to bring, and hikes to take to get in shape leading up to Yosemite to Sequoia Kings.
Looking forward to the journey. On it.
